Born in Russia in 1954. After working as a ballet dancer at the Opera House of Ufa and at the Opera House of Odessa, he studied at the “Gitis State Institute of Arts in Moscow” where he graduated as Ballet Master and Master Choreographer in 1986. In
1987, he worked as Ballet Master for Ballet Nacional de Caracas, directed by Vicente Nebrada for more than ten years, teaching and coaching the principal dancers of the company. During his extensive career as a Choreographer and Ballet Master, Issaev has had the opportunity to work with many prestigious dancers and directors. As a Choreographer, he has staged several ballets in Russia, the United States, Puerto
Rico, Peru, Poland, Japan, Malaysia and Venezuela. His ballets have been performed at the Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg, Russia, the Grand Theater of Nagoya during the Aichi Triennial Festival, the National Theater of Malaysia by Asia Ballet Academy and Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. Vladimir Issaev belongs to the Artistic Advisory Council for the Classical Dance Alliance.

He is recipient of the “New Choreographer Award” at the Dance Under the Stars Choreography Competition in Palm Desert, California; the Honorable Merit Diploma from the Terpsihora Foundation for the Advancement of the Art of Dance of Saint Petersburg, Russia. He has also been awarded by the National Foundation of
the Advancement in the Arts award as the most influential Ballet teacher. He was appointed Best Arts Educator by the Florida Alliance for Arts Education
and in 2018 he received the Diversity and Inclusion Award by the Florida State Division of Cultural Affairs. He has been Artistic Director of international ballet  Competitions in Caracas, Venezuela; South Africa and Lima, Peru. Vladimir Issaev is the Artistic Director of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, Asia Ballet Academy in Malaysia and founding Artistic Director of the Miami International Ballet Competition.

Mr. Issaev is considered one of the top ballet masters and choreographers worldwide.
