Competition Policies

Masks are required at all times for competitors, staff, teachers, coaches, family and general public. Masks are not required to be worn on stage during competition/performance. However, as it will be a personal choice, no points will be deducted for wearing a mask on stage.

Dancers are encouraged to come dressed to compete, to minimize the use of the dressing room.

With the ever-changing Covid regulations, we could be required by the City of North Miami Beach or the Miami Dade County to change these policies in order to preserve the good health of everyone involved in the Miami International Ballet Competition.

Audiences will be required to wear masks at all times. Not following these mandates will force security to ask you to leave the premises indefinitely.

Awards Ceremony Policies

For Solos, no more than 10 dancers on stage for awards. Everyone should be always wearing masks and keeping distance.

Dancers, Teachers & Families are welcome to be in the audience keeping a safe distance from other groups and wearing a mask.

For Ensembles, awards will be announced from the stage and a maximum of 2 studio representatives from each group should head backstage to pick up their award when called.

All these protocols are subject to change based on government mandates.

If possible, the Awards ceremony will be live-streamed.
